How willing is the system that names, categorizes and assumes, based on isolated, limited information to drop all its theories and start researching all over again? How willing is it to confess its inability to know that which lies beyond its limiting perception?
These are just rhetorical questions of course, for the answer is obvious to the less submissive. Revolutionary answers cannot arise from a system that uses a closed thought process that is based on profit and self-importance.
There is much at stake; more than money, there is the very credibility of the whole scientific, medical, educational and state institutions at risk. For that reason, we should not expect any drastic changes as an apocalyptic change, in the near future.
Why is dyslexia linked so closely with school and learning in the structured, mainstream way? Since it is a lifelong characteristic of a person, why is there so much confusion in younger children, as to the diagnosis? The answer exists and is a complicated one.
Why are the greatest mind, in all fields, in all times dyslexic or “dyslexic-like” and yet that which is emphasized is the “disability” as the system sees it, the “dysfunction” and the seeming limitations? Why are the abilities not emphasized, cultivated and accentuated? The answer here is quite simple and straight-forward. Because they are not known, they have not been studied, analyzed or utilized to their full extent.
To label, set up a “fix -it” mechanism and substitution system is easy. That is the usual way that “problems” are dealt with, in a world that needs to feel safe in the known. It is not difficult to realize that this mechanism has caused more problems than it has solved; dyslexics keep multiplying, more drop outs and failures (academic and social) are surfacing, and dyslexia is still not understood by the “experts” let alone the masses. So much has been said, written and done in this area, most of which is a reproduction and a recycling of known theories that are based on limited or no evidence of their quality and credibility, other than a “title”, which the accountable have to protect.
Is it possible that dyslexia is actually something completely different to what we have been fed? And if it is, are we willing to drop all previous theories and take responsibility for our own knowledge?
That is right! Do not expect any establishment, authority figure or mainstream system to provide true, authentic information. That would be totally irrational. Any valid information that does exist (and it does, after continuous extensive research) is scattered and totally hidden from our left-brained eyes.
What we need to do is to start re-evaluating, re-discerning and re-building authentic, true information that is useful, mind-opening and liberating. Furthermore, we need to add to the existing knowledge, with our own unique experiences, as right-brained (or dyslexic) individuals. No one is an expert in our minds and our lives but our selves.
One thing is certain right now: all that you think you know about dyslexia is wrong! You will need to drop all previous knowledge or assumptions that you might have and start over, to uncover the hidden truth about dyslexia.
And if you think that this subject does not concern you because you are not dyslexic, you do not have a dyslexic child, spouse, friend or colleague, then you are wildly mistaken!
This is your brain, your mind, your life, your self I am speaking about, whoever you are. Some words that are closely related and linked to the subject of dyslexia (to get you thinking) are: right-brain, the feminine, spirituality, heart mind, super-conscious mind, ascension, intuition, inner sight, creativity, passion, love, etc.
It is a huge subject with unimaginable extensions. But only if you are ready and willing for the truth.
